July saw the first Profession of our brothers Paul Rahn, OFM Cap., Collin Kourtz, OFM Cap. & Mike Herlihy, OFM Cap. They completed their year of novitiate in July. Held at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Allison Park, PA, the ceremony marks the brothers' initial commitment to their lives as Capuchin Franciscans. The vows of poverty, chastity and obedience bind them to our fraternity and to the life of the Church in its mission to live the life of the Gospel.
The Profession Mass was celebrated by our Provincial Minister, Fr. Tom Betz, OFM Cap., with the vows made after the Mass' Liturgy of the Word. It's a special moment in the lives of our family: both the family of our fraternity and the families of the new brothers. They'll move on now to their post-novitiate formation at our St. Francis Friary ('Capuchin College') in Washington, DC.
Our Br. Matt Hindelang, OFM Cap. was able to cover the event in this album of photos from our Gallery.
